Essential Functions Include

• Designs, codes, tests and debugs applications and components that meet all technical specifications and business requirements per assigned work items.
• Works closely with lead engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
• Collaborates closely with Product Analysts on developing requirements and may assist with estimating.
• Instills best practices for software development and documentation, assures designs meet requirements, and delivers high-quality work on tight schedules.
• Translates business requirements into technical solutions, recommends alternative technical and business approaches, and leads engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
• Operational Excellence – building, deploying, monitoring, and operation of production services.
• Mentors other software engineers.
• Leads engineering efforts for their feature team.

Job Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field or related field or 7 years’ relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years’ experience in full lifecycle of software development projects in an agile environment.
• Hands-on technical expertise in ServiceNow areas:
• Customer Service Management
• IT Service Management
• IT Operations Management (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management)
• Experience with developing Custom applications.
• Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Experience leading a ServiceNow development project.

Preferences:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• ServiceNow Application Developer Certification.
• Completed ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals (SNAF).
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and automated provisioning & configuration management.
• Basic understanding of networking and internet protocols
