Position Description
Mercury is a single, personalized ServiceNow interface used to support/facilitate/vet requests for goods and services coming into the enterprise sourcing and procurement group within United Health Group. As a ServiceNow engineer, you will be involved in building user-focused enhancements and innovative technical solutions to improve business efficiency through automation, routing, and a user-centric intuitive interface. You'll be a key contributor working a backlog of enhancements and defects, doing what it takes to get the job done.
IDEAL BACKGROUND: ServiceNow (Required) and enterprise sourcing and procurement experience (Desired).
Job Responsibilities:
Develop software that meets user story acceptance criteria
Innovate for user experience
Attend daily standups to keep others informed of your progress and to collaborate with fellow team members
Ensure system is securely developed for reusability and resiliency
Ensure code and configuration support enterprise scalability
Review API documentation to understand how to develop integrations with given APIs or systems
Provide guidance and coaching to India-based developers
Identify areas of optimization, performance improvements and user experience benefits that exceed customer expectations
Servant Leader: Must be able to garner respect from the team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Experience developing Scoped Applications 3+ years
- Web 2.0 Technologies (javascript, angular, ajax, etc..) 3+ years
- Experience with Flow Designer 2+ years
- SOAP/API/integration development skills 3+ years
- Software development experience 4+ years
- Agile Scrum experience 2+ years
- Good communication skills
Preferred:
- UI Builder/Next Experience - create and customize workspaces and portal pages
- Test-driven development
- Lead developer experience
- Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, object oriented design, and design patterns
- Excellent debugging, testing, and problem solving skills
