Perkins Coie is looking for a qualified and dynamic individual to take on the role of the ServiceNow Platform Architect which is a technical advisory role, responsible for helping our customers establish a strong technical foundation... in the ServiceNow Platform and design solutions that drive business outcomes. This entails establishing and supporting best practices around instance strategy, technical governance, core data, integrations, and the overall technical health of the platform. This is a highly consultative role that does not perform configuration on the platform, but guides partner and customer resources to deliver best practices. This role interfaces with the customer across executive, platform owner, enterprise architects, and development teams during the designing, developing, and implementation of solutions.

Essential Functions

The following essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading articles, publications, and attending user groups.

  • Guides and supports the execution of technical governance processes.
  • Helps develop standards and practices for maintaining the ServiceNow architecture model.
  • Assists in developing standards and practices for maintaining the health of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Supports design and implementation of a platform operating model to achieve desired outcomes and foster end-user adoption.
  • Provides technical evaluation of demands against ServiceNow platform architecture, platform capabilities, and best practices.
  • Guides ServiceNow Platform design including considerations for integration and performance.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing business needs and defining technical solutions.
  • Creates and maintains a detailed view of existing architecture.
  • Assesses architecture and solution designs to support objectives including alignment with ServiceNow implementation best practices.
  • Offers guidance on prototyping and accelerating time from design to deployment.
  • Provides technical guidance in platform development and platform-wide solutions.
  • Advises on configuration and coding standards.
  • Defines solutions across the platform that align to out-of-the-box capabilities.
  • Supports remediation of configurations not aligned to ServiceNow best practices.
  • Assesses manageability, usability, and scalability of the platform by reviewing ServiceNow HealthScan.

Specific Skills Required

  • Strong working knowledge of the ServiceNow modules including ITSM (Incident, Request, Change, Problem) and CSM.
  • Experience consulting as a subject matter expert leading the delivery of solutions in client environments.
  • Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, and SOAP.

Specific Skills Preferred

  • General understanding of applications and business workflow of law firms.
  • General knowledge of networking in a Microsoft Windows environment including client/server and web technologies.
  • Leadership in managing large-scale corporate projects and/or technical staff.
  • Working knowledge of ITAM (SAM and Hardware), CMDB, ITOM, and other modules.
  • Understanding of Asset Management Lifecycle Workflows and Service Management Integration.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum).
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with ITIL Framework.

Education And Experience

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of enterprise IT experience, 5+ years of implementing and integrating ServiceNow, 3-5 years of business analyst experience, and 3-5 years of related Applications Support / Administration or Analysis experience. Having a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is beneficial.

This position may be filled in the following location(s). The compensation depends on qualifications and experience.

Colorado compensation range: $100,140 to $157,650 annually

Los Angeles compensation range: $116,620 to $183,600 annually

San Diego compensation range: $115,140 to $181,270 annually

Washington State compensation range: $105,630 to $166,300 annually
