Hybrid – Attached to the Solihull Office

Full Time, Permanent

£55,000 - £65,000 (dependent On Experience)

Here at Serco, we are seeking an ambitious ServiceNow Developer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, configuring, and customising the ServiceNow Platform to meet the dynamic needs of our business stakeholders. Working within both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies, you will collaborate closely with ServiceNow Business Analysts and Test Teams to ensure seamless delivery of change aligned with business requirements and outcomes.

As part of this you’ll:

  • Participate actively in team meetings, Agile ceremonies, project meetings and customer sessions
  • Ensure development and configuration activities are delivered within provided estimates, meeting commitments to stakeholders
  • Drive ServiceNow change initiatives from initiation to completion, tailored to customer requirements
  • Collaborate with the ServiceNow Product Owner to clarify... requirements, simplify user experience, and ensure quality assurance
  • Drive ServiceNow adoption within Serco, advocating for solutions that drive tangible improvements for our customers
  • Identify and mitigate project issues and risks, working closely with team member
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior members of the ServiceNow team
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers
  • Provide support and guidance to the ServiceNow Support team on complex issues
  • Adhere to internal processes and compliance requirements

What you’ll need to do the role:

  • Experience: Excellent capability in IT Service Management within an ITIL or SIAM framework
  • Service Management Processes: Detailed experience working within ITIL v3/v4 and SIAM processes. Detailed understanding of Service Management standards (e.g., ISO20000, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001)
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong experience in designing and implementing solutions using ServiceNow software. Demonstrated knowledge of architectural principles and enterprise technology solutions. ServiceNow Technical Designer Credential preferred
  • People Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive interactions in a matrix environment and establish long-lasting relationships with stakeholders
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with consumers, IT Directors, operational teams, and cross-functional personnel
