Role: Senior ServiceNow Developer

The Senior ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for configuring, administering and scripting the ServiceNow platform. Primary focus will be initially in ITSM and ITOM modules. This role will work with IT Leadership to develop technical solutions that satisfy the business needs of the IT and other departments seeking to use ServiceNow.

Essential Functions

  • Configuration of the ServiceNow system, including creating workflows, business rules, UI actions/pages/policies, security (ACLs), etc.
  • Build service requests from customer requirements including requests, request items and tasks using workflows to manage data flows from the customer to the support teams... providing the service.
  • Uses scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality create script to automate tasks being done in ServiceNow.
  • Gathers specifications from the departments and delivers a product/release that meets the needs presented. Create requirements definitions and technical specifications documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational support issues related to a ServiceNow instance used by multiple departments within the organization.
  • Serve as Lead for providing ongoing production and end user support of the ServiceNow Platform and specific applications on the platform.
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools.
  • Follow established IT department procedures, such as change control and release management.
  • Work with stakeholders to generate views and reports as needed.
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL/ITSM.
  • Thorough knowledge of integrating ServiceNow with other tools.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI.
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application.
  • Ability to work under pressure & manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Able to identify & resolve issues quickly.
  • The ability to work in an energetic and fast paced environment.
  • Goal-oriented attitude and demeanour to work through roadblocks, motivate external concerns & bring about resolution.
  • ITSM and ITOM Modules implementation experience


  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent educational qualification.
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in ServiceNow Platform.
  • ServiceNow Discovery experience.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of disciplined software release build/deploy processes.
  • Knowledge of integrating with internal and external applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, HTML, and CSS and good web design practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple overlapping projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
