ROLE

As a ServiceNow SPM Developer specializing in Strategic Portfolio Management, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining solutions within the ServiceNow platform to support strategic portfolio management processes. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, designing custom solutions, and implementing functionalities to optimize strategic portfolio management processes and ensure accurate data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, customize, and configure ServiceNow modules, particularly focusing on Strategic Portfolio Management functionality.
  • Collaborate business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the ServiceNow environment.
  • Design and implement workflows, automation, and integrations to streamline SPM processes and ensure data accuracy.
  • Implement best practices for demand management, project management, AGILE, resource management and capacity planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SPM processes, data discrepancies, and system integrations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support continuous improvement initiatives related to SPM and other relevant areas
  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, enhancements, and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency in asset management practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, project management office, etc, to ensure alignment of SPM processes with organizational objectives.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
  • Provide on-call support for the platform on a rotating basis with other team members.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow developer with a focus on Strategic Portfolio Management.
  • Strong understanding of strategic portfolio management concepts and methodologies, including demand management, project management, AGILE, resource management and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow platform development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), workflows, UI policies, and integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server).
  • Experience in designing and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g. SPM Certified Implementation Specialist) preferred.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require hourly pay range disclosure: $80 - $95.
