Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle/Senior ServiceNow Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a global, science-led biopharmaceutical company specializing in discovering, developing, and commercializing prescription medicines. The client is transitioning from an IT... universe that currently consists of thousands of stand-alone applications to a limited number of broad enterprise platforms to drive reuse and commonality. Future IT products and applications will be built on these platforms, leveraging standard components, security frameworks, reusable APIs, etc. One of the first enterprise platforms to be established will be ServiceNow. You will be a key member of the ServiceNow product team and will be responsible for implementing platform and product solutions aligned with the overall platform design principles and strategy. Core team member working alongside the Technical Lead and other engineers within the team in a highly collaborative environment. The role resides within the Enterprise Platforms space in the Enabling Units (EUIT) Function. The role will help in transforming the ServiceNow landscape from a primarily IT-driven, centralized model to a federated operating model, with key business-IT groups being able to leverage the platform within established guardrails across a wide variety of enterprise functions such as HR, Finance, Site Operations, One GRC, etc. They will work within a matrixed environment, leading, developing, and engaging a high-performing team. Successful Agile, platform-based ways of working are critical. As they expand ServiceNow as a strategic platform across the enterprise, the role will include delivering PoCs, assisting in building business cases, and setting up expert teams to provide ServiceNow-related expertise to new projects /business areas.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience with ServiceNow.
  • Strong knowledge of Java.
  • Hands-on experience in building HR, Risk, Finance, Facilities Management, CSM, and other ServiceNow modules.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow development using most of the ServiceNow tools and features such as Business Rule, Script Include, Client Scripts, UI Policies, AJAX, Glide Scripting, Java Scripting, Jelly Scripting, Angular JS, Widgets, Workflow, Catalog Development, UI Page, UI Scripts, UI Action, Inbound Action, Notifications, REST & SOAP APIs, Workflow Custom Activities, SQL, Database.
  • Understanding of the development of Service Portal (Widgets, Angular JS, Server Scripting, Client Scripting, HTML, DHTML, CSS, Pages, Portal Configuration).
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external tools using Web Services & REST APIs.
  • Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly learn a new business area's objectives, structures, operations, and policies.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented person with an inherent ability to multi-task.
  • Strong problem-resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Report under Enabling Units Service Now Delivery Team Lead.
  • Carry out development in HR, Risk, Finance, Facilities Management, CSM, and other needed ServiceNow modules.
  • Contribute to the overall development cycle to deliver value and successful outcomes.
  • Be empowered to lead aspects (e.g., demos/training/solutions) of the overall development to deliver value and successful outcomes.
  • Support and lead ways of working to ensure the execution of the development is delivered in a fun, positive, and energetic way.
  • Be aware of the impact of the solutions you provide on other platform areas.
  • Challenge the norm, transform working methods, stimulate new thinking, and ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into precise, detailed functional requirements.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating discussions and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flow.
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.
  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and execute test cases.
  • Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps.
  • Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Build a trusted partnership with the Product Owner and Engineers.
  • Oversee the requirements collection and assist with effort estimates, where appropriate.
  • Ensure reusable knowledge is captured as part of project & enhancement delivery.
  • Perform as a key contributor to the governance of customization versus configuration across the SNOW community.
  • Contribute to test and release automation by setting up and maintaining automated test sets and partnering with the ECS Testing team.

Will Be a Plus

  • Degree or equivalent in computing/engineering.
  • Experience with ServiceNow BA.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
