The Solutions Architect will be responsible for providing the overall guidance and structure for creating and maintaining the designs for the main services of Hillsborough County BOCC’s Information and Innovation Office, ensuring the required business outcomes are delivered. All designs created by the team should align to the architecture principles of ServiceNow and should be reusable, reliable, and adaptive.

This role requires a person passionate about solving challenging problems in ServiceNow across IT and non-IT teams. The ServiceNow Solutions Architect will oversee all architectural components for the ServiceNow system and will work on our most difficult issues extending the ServiceNow platform. The ServiceNow architect will consult with the platform owner and work with others on the team to help set the strategic direction of the platform. Hillsborough County BOCC currently leverages the ServiceNow platform heavily for both IT and non-IT processes.

The architect will assist a development team, including consultants. The appropriate candidate will possess strong customer management skills, critical thinking, the ability to change direction with business needs, and at least 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow applications design and implementation of IT products like CSM, CMDB, Discovery, ITSM, SPM, ServiceNow Integrations, ITBM, ITAM/ITOM, Employee Center, HR Center Pro, BCM, and other modules as needed.

This role requires a person who has the ability to complete technical ServiceNow development and design. The applicant should have extensive experience in REST API, JavaScript, HTML, Script includes, Business Rules, Integration Hub, Employee Center, etc. This role also needs the ability or skill to write user/support and technical documentation. The ideal candidate should also be able to convey ideas and lead design sessions.
