Job Responsibilities:
The ServiceNow Developer designs, develops, and implements solutions that support business objectives while ensuring optimal performance and scalability of the ServiceNow platform.
This role involves hands-on development across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including conception, design, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Design, configure, and develop custom applications and workflows within the ServiceNow platform.
- Customize ServiceNow forms, fields, business rules, workflows, UI policies, and UI actions.
- Implement and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST, SOAP, or other APIs.
- Perform platform upgrades, patches, and module deployments.
- Monitor the health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform.
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes to deliver incremental improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, configuration, and user guides.
Experience Requirements:
Three plus years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer or similar role.
Proven experience in configuring and customizing modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or SPM.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Glide scripting.
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration tools like Integration Hub.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
Education/Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor's degree. Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
ServiceNow certification, preferred.
ITIL certification or equivalent practical experience, preferred.
