Job Summary:
We are on the lookout for a talented Senior ServiceNow Developer with over 10 years of IT experience, specializing in CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and ITOM (IT Operations Management). In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to architect, develop, and enhance advanced ServiceNow modules, ensuring robust data integrity in the CMDB and boosting automation and visibility through cutting-edge ITOM solutions such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and sustain innovative ServiceNow applications and integrations with emphasis on CMDB and ITOM.
- Lead the way in implementing ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to guarantee accurate CI data population.
- Configure and refine the CMDB data model, along with reconciliation and identification rules.
- Seamlessly integrate third-party monitoring and management tools into ServiceNow ITOM.
- Develop and maintain automation workflows leveraging ServiceNow Orchestration.
- Collaborate closely with ServiceNow architects, system admins, and fellow developers to adhere to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve challenges associated with CMDB accuracy and ITOM workflows.
- Conduct thorough impact analysis and work alongside change management to ensure system stability.
- Provide valuable mentorship to junior developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, technical specifications, and knowledge base articles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 6+ years of practical experience in ServiceNow.
- Proven expertise in CMDB design, data models, reconciliation, and data integrity.
- Strong experience with key ServiceNow ITOM modules: Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
- Deep understanding of CI relationships, MID server configurations, and effective troubleshooting.
- Solid foundation in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow scripting (e.g., Business Rules, Script Includes).
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with popular monitoring tools, including SolarWinds, SCOM, Nagios, and Zabbix.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Preferred: Certified in ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - CMDB / ITOM.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
