This Senior Software Engineer role involves working with our team to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions using ServiceNow. Main Tasks:
- Collaborate with Product Management to gather requirements and develop solutions.
- Design and implement process improvements, focusing on reducing technical debt and enhancing team efficiency.
- Analyze capacity requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in Agile planning, providing input on story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Develop robust product and solution designs to address complex problems.
- Build and maintain multiple products in ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Write software and automated tests aligned with technical architecture standards.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues as needed.
- Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.
- Mentor junior software engineers, guiding them on technical best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and share insights with the team.
- Adhere to technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
- Design, code, test, correct, and document ServiceNow scripts, workflows, triggers, and actions.
- Lead reviews of own work and participate in reviews of colleagues' work.
- Enhance business performance through effective ServiceNow enhancements.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in ServiceNow modules, including ITSM and Service Catalog.
- Expertise in building and managing Scripted REST APIs for external system integrations.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Application Development, including creating and maintaining custom applications.
- Experience with DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow development, using tools like Git.
- Strong skills in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, and API Development.
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow development tools, including Studio, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and Virtual Agent.
- Working experience with Agile application development practices.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years' experience, or alternative combinations of education and experience.
- Certification in ServiceNow system administration and/or application development (CSA, CAD).
