Job Description: As a ServiceNow Administrator, you will act as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the organization’s structure, policies, and operations, and recommend solutions that support its goals. You will define and document customer business functions, consult with process owners to identify system requirements, and administer the ITSM platform. The role involves configuring modules, supporting system upgrades, and ensuring compliance with governance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain ITOM, HAM, and SAM modules in ServiceNow
- Perform user management, access control, and workflow automation
- Support ServiceNow instance upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and errors
- Participate in system integration and user acceptance testing
- Document operational procedures and user access levels
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to staff
- Collaborate with Process Owners and Managers to gather business requirements
- Escalate unresolved issues to management as necessary
- Ensure compliance with ServiceNow governance and best practices
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
- Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow App Engine and Flow Designer
- Understanding of CMDB and Discovery
- Experience with the Employee Service Portal and custom widget development
- Experience with ITSM and at least one additional module (e.g., ITOM, HRSD, SPM, Source2Pay)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study – Preferred
- ITIL V4 Foundation Certification – Preferred
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
