- Advanced experience - at least 8 years (non-negotiable) of Service now - dont just want to see it trickled through the resume
- 8 FT employees and 8 consultants on the team. Assigned to work with product managers and product owners that are curating a set of backlog requests. Resources are assigned based on that model
- They have had this need since January, but had to wait for it to reopen due to the freeze so they are looking to get moving
- Generally good software development experience with Javascript

Interview process: most likely 2 rounds of interviews (manager screen and then a tech screen), possibly 3 max
Develop conceptual, logical and physical IT engineering designs, that support the requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects to be implemented in the ServiceNow Platform. Complete analysis of business requirements, as it relates to technical design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements. Assess testing requirements and prepares testing strategies leveraging ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework, as well as preparing implementation and operational support plans.

Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable code in ServiceNow by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)

Advise team and customers on best practices and how to implement the necessary changes to address their business needs in the ServiceNow Platform. Recommends alternatives and performs gap analysis to identify unaddressed needs.

Lead strategic guidance initiatives and leadership to clients and leaders as it relates to the ServiceNow Platform. Key contributor in process improvement and long term technical strategic solution discussions.

Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.

Work with a strong set of teams to improve developing and deploying applications and customizations

Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs

Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite

Collaborate day-to-day with an energetic team of like-minded developers, product managers and quality engineers using agile software development methodology.

Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the team.

Perform change management using ServiceNow platform following FRIT change management policies and procedures for software propagation to other environments.

May indirectly lead complex projects, and participate on technical/complex projects.

Provide project updates during Daily Standups as required.

Assist with monitoring compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines
Quals--
- *ServiceNow Application Developer (Advanced)**
Within commutable distance to DAL/Richmond preferred.
Qualifications:
-
8+ years of experience working within the ServiceNow Platform. (This is a non-negotiable, they must be able to actively speak about this experience, not just have is trickled through their resume)

5+ years of software development experience with JavaScript as well as experience working with libraries such as AngularJS, Bootstrap, React and Node.js

Experienced Full Stack developer with a firm understanding of:

Algorithms

Object-oriented design
-
Design patterns
Additional Preferred Skills and/or Experience desired:

Deep understanding and experience with Agile software development lifecycle.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

ITIL experience or certification.

ServiceNow System Admin certification, ServiceNow Application Developer and/or Product line certifications a plus.
