Senior Software Engineer - ServiceNow Development

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer specializing in ServiceNow to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will write and maintain code within ServiceNow, focusing on implementing innovative features, enhancing performance, and improving maintainability while reducing technical debt. You will actively contribute to our product and technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Management to understand customer challenges and design effective solutions.
• Propose enhancements to processes, technology, and interfaces that boost team efficiency and minimize technical debt.
• Anticipate component usage requirements and identify limitations.
• Participate in story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
• Contribute to product and solution designs to tackle critical issues and complex problems.
• Develop solutions across multiple ServiceNow products based on stakeholder needs.
• Understand technical architecture and write software and automated tests following established standards.
• Engage in troubleshooting and investigative efforts as needed.
• Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance for deployed products.
• Mentor less experienced engineers by providing technical guidance and oversight.
• Stay actively engaged with the engineering community, keeping abreast of new software technologies and best practices, and sharing insights within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
• Design, code, test, document ServiceNow scripts, workflows, triggers, and actions per specified requirements, using agreed best practices.
• Lead reviews of your work and support review processes for colleagues.
• Manage enhancements in ServiceNow to optimize business performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Alternative combinations such as a Master’s degree with 2 years, or a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, will also be considered.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM and Service Catalog.
• Expertise in building and managing Scripted REST APIs for external system integrations.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Application Development, including the creation and maintenance of custom applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow development, preferably using tools like Git.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, and API Development.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with ServiceNow development tools such as Studio, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and Virtual Agent.
• Proven experience working with Agile application development practices.
• ServiceNow system administration and/or application development certifications (CSA, CAD) are highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Micro or Implementation Certifications.
• Agile Certifications.

The base salary for this position ranges from USD 99,000.00 to 165,000.00 per year, varying based on the position's location and the candidate's experience.
