We are looking for a talented ServiceNow Software Engineering leader who is eager to integrate data with emerging technologies.
As the Director of Software Engineering for ServiceNow, you will play a pivotal role in leading a significant transformation of the Capital One ServiceNow Platform. You'll be part of the Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) Technology division, which is responsible for advancing Capital One's essential cloud infrastructure, focusing on elements such as observability, connectivity, resilience, and availability.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of technology projects and lead a team of skilled developers specializing in the ServiceNow platform. Your focus will be on creating solutions for asset management across key modules such as IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Risk Management (ITRM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM).
- Develop, manage, and enhance multiple teams of product-focused software engineers.
- Provide mentorship and foster the professional growth of engineers on your team.
- Collaborate with product managers to define application capabilities and testing scenarios.
- Continuously seek to enhance software engineering practices.
- Work closely with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a wide range of development tools and technologies.
- Ensure the quality, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions.
- Stay current with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, and engage in technology communities while mentoring fellow engineers.
- Encourage innovation and inclusivity within the team, fostering creative thinking, teamwork, and diversity.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance their efficiencies and overall output.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 7 years of software development experience
- At least 5 years of experience with the ServiceNow Platform, including Development and Operations
- At least 5 years of experience in managing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in the ServiceNow Platform, including Infrastructure and Workflow development across various modules (ITAM, ITSM, ITRM, ITOM)
- 6+ years of experience working with languages such as Java, JavaScript, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 4+ years of experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- 6+ years of experience with open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
