Join our innovative team as a Lead Software Engineer - ServiceNow Development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to write and maintain high-quality code within ServiceNow, contributing to the enhancement of capabilities and features while improving performance and maintainability. You will play a critical part in Agile planning and implementation while guiding your team to reduce technical debt aligned with our product and technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify and address customer and end-user challenges by designing effective solutions.
  • Propose improved processes, technology changes, and interface optimizations to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Anticipate capacity requirements and pinpoint potential limitations within components.
  • Contribute insights into story sizing, participate in backlog grooming, and assist in release planning.
  • Engage in product and solution design efforts to tackle critical and complex issues.
  • Develop features across various ServiceNow products based on stakeholder needs.
  • Write software and automated tests in accordance with established standards, while having a thorough understanding of technical architecture.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and investigative efforts as required.
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and monitoring for deployed products.
  • Mentor and offer technical guidance to less experienced software engineers.
  • Stay current with software technologies and best practices, and actively engage in the engineering community by sharing insights.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
  • Design, code, test, document scripts, workflows, triggers, and actions in ServiceNow according to agreed specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews for your own and others’ work, leading reviews for colleagues.
  • Manage enhancements in ServiceNow to drive business performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow modules like ITSM and Service Catalog.
  • Experience with Scripted REST APIs for external system integrations.
  • Hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Application Development, including maintenance of custom applications.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines and Git is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, and API Development.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow development tools including Studio, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and Virtual Agent.
  • Experience in Agile application development practices.
  • Certification in ServiceNow system administration and/or application development (CSA, CAD).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Micro or Implementation Certifications.
  • Agile Certifications.

We offer a competitive compensation range of USD 99,000.00 - 165,000.00 per year, depending on the ultimate location of the position and the candidate’s qualifications. Additional compensation may include an incentive program.
