ServiceNow UI Developer - Modern User Experience Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and innovative UI Engineer to craft seamless user experiences within the ServiceNow Workspace using UI Builder. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to bring intuitive workflows to life, leveraging deep knowledge of ServiceNow frontend customization and backend integration.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design and technology, understands how to build scalable and maintainable UI components, and is excited about contributing to next-generation enterprise experiences. Experience with AI/ML integration is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities:

• UI Development & Implementation: Translate detailed UI/UX designs into responsive and interactive applications on the ServiceNow platform, using UI Builder, Service Portal, and Workspace.
• Component Development: Build, customize, and maintain reusable UI Builder components and widgets from scratch, following best practices and accessibility guidelines.
• Backend Integration: Collaborate with backend developers to connect UI components with ServiceNow data via REST APIs and Glide scripts.
• Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, demo work, and iterate based on feedback.
• Innovation & AI Exploration: Explore AI/ML technologies and trends to identify opportunities for enhancing user workflows and automation (nice to have).
• Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of features with high quality.
• Code Quality & Documentation: Write clean, maintainable code and document features and architecture for easy onboarding and future enhancements. Qualifications:
• Experience: 5+ years in frontend development with 2+ years of focused work on ServiceNow (Workspace, UI Builder, and Service Portal).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React or similar frameworks.
• Deep understanding of ServiceNow UI scripting (Client Scripts, UI Policies, etc.).
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and working with ServiceNow's backend (GlideRecord, Script Includes, etc.).
• Exposure to responsive design and accessibility standards. Requirements:
• ServiceNow Expertise: Proven experience building custom components using UI Builder and extending ServiceNow's modern UI capabilities.
• Agile Proficiency: Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment with distributed teams.
• Bonus: Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., integrating LLMs, chat interfaces, predictive recommendations) or ServiceNow's AI features.
