System Administrator - ServiceNow CMDB/Discovery Role

This position plays a key role in administering and optimizing the ServiceNow platform, focusing on CMDB and Discovery activities to establish and maintain a robust and accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The successful candidate will have expertise in ServiceNow administration, Discovery, and CMDB management, ensuring that configuration data supports operational, compliance, and mission-critical needs.

About This Role

• Perform day-to-day administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform with a focus on supporting CMDB and Discovery activities.
• Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to identify assets, relationships, and dependencies across the IT environment.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the CMDB, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with DoD requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB architecture, including CI class structures and relationship mappings. Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting and system integrations is also required. Additionally, experience working in DoD or federal environments is highly desirable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow System Administrator or similar role, with specific experience in CMDB and Discovery activities.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules, particularly Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Active Security clearance required; eligibility for higher-level clearance is a plus.
