Lead ServiceNow Developer
This pivotal technical leadership role involves deploying ServiceNow solutions for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Expertise: Design scalable, reliable, and high-performance ServiceNow solutions that meet immediate project needs and long-term business goals.
- Solution Configuration: Lead engagements with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow configurations.
- Business Acumen: Drive understanding of the business context in which the team is working. Align technical decisions with the client's overarching goals and objectives.
- Technical Implementation: Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement ServiceNow solutions, including setting up workflows, business rules, user interfaces, and automation.
- Innovation: Encourage innovation within the development team, supporting the exploration of new technologies, methodologies, and processes.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop ServiceNow configuration test plans and validate functionality, data integrity, and user experience.
- Data Migration: Develop and document data migration strategies and plans, leading data migration activities from legacy systems to ServiceNow.
- Integration Management: Design and document integration strategies and plans, leading the integration of ServiceNow with other systems and applications.
- User Training and Documentation: Design and provide end-user training, creating detailed documentation of the configuration and customization for future reference.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts, assisting users during the transition period and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, considering factors such as security vulnerabilities and data privacy concerns.
- Incident and Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations, collaborating with support teams to provide timely resolution.
- Security and Compliance: Lead adherence to security best practices, ensuring that the team understands and implements solutions that meet relevant compliance requirements.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and practices in the ServiceNow ecosystem, leading personal and team development.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Lead mentorship and guidance of junior developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and best practice education.
- Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate tasks, manage timelines, and ensure successful completion of projects while interacting with executive stakeholders and explaining complex technical matters in a clear and non-technical manner.
- Conflict Resolution: Mediate disagreements within the team, handle challenges that arise during projects, and promote a positive team atmosphere.
- Corporate Growth: Contribute to the growth of the business by developing client roadmaps and solution demonstrations to identify and foster new opportunities for ICF services and ServiceNow license sales.
This position requires residing in the United States and performing work in the United States, as this work is for a federal contract and laws apply. Requirements:
- 14+ years of experience implementing IT solutions with at least 4 years of ServiceNow solutions.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- US Citizen due to federal contract requirements.
- MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply. Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience configuring or building 10 or more ServiceNow applications.
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
- In-depth knowledge of scripting languages, including JavaScript and GlideScript.
- Strong technical skills, including workflow configuration, and business rule development.
- Expertise in designing and implementing complex workflows.
- The ability to independently create and manage integrations with external systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate solutions.
- Detail-oriented tendencies with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques.
