Lead ServiceNow Developer (DevOps & AI)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Developer with proven expertise in ServiceNow, JavaScript, DevOps, and a strong interest or experience in AI/ML technologies. You will play a pivotal role in designing scalable enterprise applications, guiding development teams, and shaping technical direction. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on development and architectural decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end design and development of robust, scalable ServiceNow applications and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectural blueprints.
• Guide and mentor developers, promoting industry best practices in code quality, security, and system design.
• Drive adoption of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD automation, and modern infrastructure practices.
• Architect and manage integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP, and other technologies.
• Lead and contribute to AI/ML initiatives by embedding intelligent features and automation into platforms.
• Perform technical reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain development quality and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business units, QA, DevOps, and security teams.
• Monitor system performance and ensure adherence to compliance and security standards.
• Stay ahead of technology trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong hands-on expertise with ServiceNow modules (e.g., Workflows, Catalogs, IntegrationHub, CMDB).
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
• Proven experience in DevOps practices, including:
• CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Containerization (Docker)
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Solid understanding of modern software design principles and architecture patterns (DDD, microservices, event-driven systems, micro-frontends).
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies such as OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, or TensorFlow.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certifications: CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM or related.
• Experience with modern frontend/backend frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Prior experience integrating AI-driven chatbots or intelligent automation within enterprise platforms.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
