Overview

GovCIO is hiring a Junior ServiceNow Administrator to improve the ServiceNow user experience and interface for the CONNECT project. This hybrid role will be based in Fayetteville, NC and require both onsite and remote work within the United States.

Responsibilities

This role involves designing the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of our ServiceNow App Engine project called CONNECT. Key responsibilities include ensuring that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for usability, usefulness, and human-centered design. You will also create graphical user interfaces (GUIs) tailored to meet specific user needs. Additionally, you will prepare operating instructions, compile documentation on program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions about program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. You will administer permissions, manage databases, and provide training on system management and use.

  • Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, customer feedback, and usability findings.
  • Design and create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, low and high-fidelity mockups in your design work.
  • Communicate with product and engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders, executive leadership, and other creative professionals.
  • Design and code applications following specifications using appropriate tools, maintaining and modifying existing software applications.
  • Analyze detailed systems factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution.
  • Perform modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure reviewed work adheres to standards and specifications.
  • Write or revise program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides according to standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

Clearance Required: Secret

  • High School diploma with 0-3 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Achieve SNAF-CSA (ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals - Certified System Administrator) certification within 180 days of onboarding

  • CIS-ITSM (Certified Incentive Specialist - IT Service Management)
