ServiceNow SME Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow consultant to support our 100% remote opportunity. This is a contract-to-hire engagement, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time employee with the client.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow Platform BA, Admin, and CMDB experience, as well as at least 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow (CMDB) SME. Knowledge of the CSDM framework is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the CMDB health dashboard three days a week to address duplicates using the CMDB Duplicate Remediation Tool, and troubleshoot stale CIs through the discovery process.
  • Meet with individual application SMEs to populate service mapping questionnaires for each application and instance.
  • Review lists of agents, update outdated agents, and troubleshoot agents with errors.
  • Review VMware discovery jobs, troubleshoot credentials and access issues.
  • Fill out data dictionary pages for managed CI classes.
  • Develop a configuration management plan (CMP), including filling out skeleton outlines for critical entries and following up with stakeholders.
  • Curate ideas, incidents, problems, and questions for what requires CMDB lead involvement versus what can be handled by the CMDB team.
  • Perform duplicative deployment work, including minor CMDB customizations and skeleton service creation to prepare for mapping.
