Job Title: ServiceNow Platform Administrator
Job Type: Full-Time (On-site)
Duration: 6 months (with the option to extend up to 2 years)
Location: San Francisco, CA 94014 On-site, 5 days/week (40 hours)
Project Overview:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a ServiceNow Platform Administrator. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing the administration, maintenance, and ongoing development of the ServiceNow platform. Your efforts will ensure that our platform aligns with established processes and governance frameworks while enhancing user experience through proactive support and documentation efforts.
Scope of Work:
Task 1: Platform Administration
- Effectively manage users, assignment groups, and roles to optimize workflow.
- Regularly maintain and update forms, fields, views, and access controls to ensure a streamlined user experience.
- Monitor scheduled jobs, integrations, and data imports; escalate issues as necessary to ensure continuity.
Task 2: Support and Triage
- Act as the first point of contact for ServiceNow-related end-user issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Triage issues related to workflows, business rules, or catalog items; recommend actionable solutions and collaborate with various support teams.
Task 3: Governance and Change Control
- Strictly adhere to defined change management processes to ensure compliance.
- Submit and track change requests efficiently to optimize system performance.
- Engage in planning and governance meetings to remain aligned with organizational objectives.
Task 4: Documentation and Knowledge Management
- Thoroughly document all administrative activities and configuration changes for reference and accountability.
- Maintain a daily work log to create transparency in activities.
- Develop and update knowledge base (KB) articles and user procedures to enhance user support.
Task 5: Review and Recommendations
- Evaluate platform configurations, scripts, and integrations to assess usability and performance.
- Provide actionable recommendations for enhancements and systems optimization.
Task 6: Upgrade Support
- Assist in platform upgrade activities to ensure smooth transitions.
- Conduct testing and validation in sub-production environments to mitigate risks.
Project Success Criteria:
- Timely and effective administration of the platform.
- Resolution of user issues with comprehensive documentation.
- Strict compliance with governance and change control protocols.
- Actionable and impactful recommendations for platform improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in ServiceNow Administration.
- Current ServiceNow Administrator certification is required.
- Experience in an organization with over 10,000 users is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time onsite (Monday through Friday).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in designing and developing custom ServiceNow applications or extending out-of-the-box functionalities.
