Job Objective The ServiceNow Software Developer II role involves designing, developing, and configuring out-of-the-box/custom applications and enhancements within the ServiceNow platform. This mid-level position requires working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to implement solutions that align with business objectives while following development best practices. The Developer will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Main Responsibilities
- Platform Development: Develop and configure ServiceNow applications and modules based on business requirements, ensuring adherence to best practices in code quality and performance meeting or exceeding the SLA(s).
- Custom Application Development: Build and maintain custom applications on the ServiceNow platform, leveraging workflows, UI policies, business rules, and client scripts.
- Integration: Implement integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, ensuring secure and scalable communication between platforms.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in the ServiceNow environment, providing technical support to resolve system incidents and problems meeting or exceeding the SLA(s).
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and refine technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Testing & Documentation: Conduct unit testing and participate in peer code reviews to ensure the quality of solutions and maintain thorough technical documentation.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Ensure comprehensive documentation of solutions, configurations, and processes, and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions within the team to enhance collective expertise.
- Platform Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of existing ServiceNow instances, including managing updates, patching, and upgrades.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on new ServiceNow features, releases, and development trends, applying this knowledge to optimize platform performance and user experience. Software Maintenance and Support
- Active ServiceNow Modules: Support ServiceNow Platform, IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Hardware Asset Management Pro (HAM), Integration Hub, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM / ITBM), Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC)
- HR Service Delivery: Case Management
- Custom Applications, Custom Workflows, & Integrations: Oracle RFC Process, Access Request Workflows, Approval Workflows, JML / SailPoint Integration, IT Toolkit, ServiceNow eBonding Customer / Vendor Communication
- Communicate regularly with counterpart/POC/vendor to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with customer to analyze and resolve problems, identify trends and recommends preventive and corrective action. Addition Functions

- Graduate of 4- or 5-year course, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Certifications (ITIL v3, ServiceNow System Administration/Development, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)) preferred Work Experience Or Training
- Software development experience in any platform (Web, Mobile, Desktop) for at least five (5) years
- At least two (2) years relevant experience in ServiceNow solution design and implementation
- Three (3) years experience in maintaining and supporting applications (Incident Management, Request Management, Escalation, and Troubleshooting) Skills and Abilities
- Confidence in technical discussions at all levels (to ensure that high level architecture is correct and design principles are consistent adhered during implementation)
- Demonstrated capability in data management, solving problems and able to work collaboratively within a team or independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and end users
- Adaptability to changing priorities, projects, and deadlines
