RMC is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Architect to support the Enterprise Systems Department at NIWC Atlantic Service Centers. This critical role primarily supports the Data Center and Cloud Hosting Services Division and involves co-leading, and eventually leading, the development and architectural design of ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including integrations with third-party technologies and AWS cloud services, and will drive innovation, quality, and scalability across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide technical direction for a cross-functional team of engineers.
- Design and integrate ServiceNow solutions with other Service Center platforms and AWS cloud services.
- Innovate integration solutions to enhance data consistency and integrity across platforms.
- Develop and share integration standards, strategies, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders of varying technical expertise to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Research, analyze, and recommend new technologies to improve platform capabilities.
- Document overall platform architecture, technology plans, and implementation details.
- Assist in sprint and release planning to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Mature and implement security solutions to meet evolving compliance requirements and maintain secure client environments.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process workflow diagrams, and support Configuration/Change Control Board & Governance Board submissions and presentations.
- Participate in technical calls to understand products, services, and potential changes in scope or priorities.
- Coordinate ServiceNow efforts across multiple teams, including the SD IPT and Division.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
- This position requires an Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its integration capabilities.
- Experience in designing and leading complex ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong understanding of Navy business processes.
- Familiarity with software design lifecycle methodologies.
- Proven experience leading multifunctional teams and contractors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document technical designs and integration principles clearly.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and integrating them with ServiceNow is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
