Position Summary
Witriol Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the implementation and maintenance of an Enterprise Service Management System (ESMS) for a high-profile public sector client. The developer will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and integrating ServiceNow modules across the enterprise to meet complex business and service delivery needs. This role will play a critical part in helping government agencies consolidate services, improve metrics, enhance workflows, and implement scalable solutions across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and configure custom ServiceNow applications and modules, including but not limited to:
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Service Catalog
- Asset & Configuration Management (CMDB)
- Knowledge Management
- Self-Service Portals
- Reporting Dashboards
- Support the implementation of workflows and business rules in alignment with the ESMS objectives
- Collaborate with functional consultants and project managers to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Build scalable, cloud-based ServiceNow solutions tailored to county-level government environments
- Develop and maintain integration points with other SaaS and legacy platforms (APIs, web services)
- Participate in agile development cycles, sprint planning, testing, and documentation
- Ensure technical compliance with accessibility, security, and governance standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, bugs, and service requests in a timely manner
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior developers as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience with demonstrated proficiency across multiple modules
- Proven experience supporting public sector implementations, preferably for counties or large municipalities
- Experience implementing a single-platform SaaS ESMS for agencies with 5,000+ users
- Strong proficiency in ServiceNow Studio, Flow Designer, Glide API, Service Portal, and scripting (JavaScript)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices in ServiceNow DevOps
- Experience with performance analytics, dashboards, and custom reporting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- ServiceNow certifications preferred:
- Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ITSM/ITOM Implementation Specialist – preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with FedRAMP-authorized environments
- Familiarity with Section 508 and accessibility best practices
- Understanding of government procurement, compliance, and change management processes
- Experience working under large RFP-based contract vehicles

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
Compensation Package:
- 1099 contract
