Key Responsibilities:
· Product Vision and Strategy:
Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for ServiceNow-based solutions, aligning with organizational goals and business needs.
· Backlog Management:
Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating business requirements into clear, actionable user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
· Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams (including Java/Python developers), and other cross-functional teams.
· Requirements Gathering:
Work closely with business analysts and users to gather and document detailed requirements for ServiceNow enhancements, integrations, and custom applications.
· Technical Understanding:
Possess a strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and limitations, including its scripting languages (JavaScript) and integration options.
· Java/Python Integration & Development:
· Oversee the design and implementation of integrations with external systems using Java or Python-based solutions.
· Guide the development of custom applications or functionalities within ServiceNow that leverage Java or Python for complex logic or data manipulation.
· Ensure adherence to best practices for code quality, scalability, and security in Java and Python development within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
· Agile Methodologies:
Drive agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of solutions.
· Testing and Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure that delivered solutions meet specified requirements and quality standards.
· Release Management:
Plan and oversee the release of new features and functionalities, including communication and training for end-users.
Qualifications:
· Experience:
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager, ideally within the IT Service Management (ITSM) domain, with a focus on ServiceNow.
· Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Java and/or Python, particularly in the context of system integrations, API development, or custom application development.
· ServiceNow Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including its modules, functionalities, and development best practices.
· Agile Acumen:
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in an agile environment.
· Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
· Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze complex problems, make data-driven decisions, and translate technical concepts into business terms.
· Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, ServiceNow)
