Software Asset Management Professional \

As a Software Asset Management Professional, you will be responsible for reviewing inventory and software to determine which bucket the title will go into. You will follow through to closure and move to the next software title. This involves tens of thousands of titles. Once phase 1 is completed and the framework is laid, you will track governance, compliance, and renewals. \

The tools used in this role include ServiceNow. The operational support involves maintaining software inventory and license records using ServiceNow. It also includes tracking software lifecycle from request to retirement, ensuring alignment with organizational policies. \

Additionally, you will assist with onboarding, renewal, and offboarding processes for licensed software. This includes coordinating intake, routing, and documentation of software requests. You will ensure completion of necessary reviews (e.g., security, architecture, EULA/legal) and monitor SLAs and follow up with request approvers and reviewers. \

You will also support audits and license compliance checks. This involves identifying and helping remediate unauthorized or unlicensed software in the environment. You will work with governance teams to enforce policies and flag violations. \

Furthermore, you will generate reports on software usage, license allocation, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities. You will provide data-driven insights to support renewals, vendor negotiations, and optimization efforts. \

In this role, you will liaise between IT, security, procurement, legal, and end-user departments. You will provide support and training to end-users on software request processes and compliance requirements. \

Qualifications: \ \

• 2-4 years of experience in software asset management, IT operations, or business analysis.\
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), SAM tools, and asset lifecycle processes.\
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.\
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across teams.\
