The Senior Software Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of ServiceNow through code development and maintenance. You will implement new features, improve performance, and ensure the software is maintainable. This position involves collaborating with an Agile team and staying informed about the latest technology trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Management to understand user needs and design innovative solutions.
  • Suggest process, technology, and interface improvements to enhance team efficiency and minimize technical debt.
  • Assess capacity requirements and pinpoint limitations for component usage.
  • Contribute to story sizing, backlog management, and release planning.
  • Assist in designing products and solutions to tackle complex issues effectively.
  • Develop solutions across various ServiceNow products to fulfill stakeholder requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate issues as required.
  • Provide continuous support, monitoring, and maintenance for deployed products.
  • Mentor junior software engineers and offer technical guidance.
  • Engage with the engineering community and share insights on new technologies and best practices with the organization.

Skills:

  • Adhere to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
  • Design, code, test, correct, and document ServiceNow scripts, workflows, triggers, and actions per specifications and standards.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow's Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • Extensive experience in IT Operations Management (ITOM).
  • Solid experience in engineering and operations, specifically in developing and managing a CMDB.
  • Participate in review processes for your work and guide reviews of colleagues' work.
  • Manage ServiceNow enhancements to drive business performance improvements.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience implementing Agile application development practices.
  • Robust ITSM product and development expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ServiceNow system administration and/or application development certifications (CSA, CAD) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Micro or Implementation Certifications.
  • Agile Certifications.

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 99,000.00 to 165,000.00 per year, depending on qualifications, skills, and location.
