OVERVIEW

At Orion, we are seeking a Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) Discovery product for a healthcare enterprise. This opportunity bridges business needs and technical delivery, ensuring the ServiceNow Discovery module is optimized to accurately identify and map IT assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

12-month contract-to-hire; Fully Remote (U.S. – Central Time Zone)

SALARY (W2)

$130,000 – $145,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and drive the product vision for ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, aligning with business goals and IT strategy
• Gather and translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog to ensure timely and high-impact delivery
• Configure, manage, and optimize the ServiceNow Discovery module to support accurate asset discovery and CMDB integrity
• Guide stakeholders through process design to ensure data quality, accuracy, and platform reliability
• Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support strategic decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data sharing across systems

KEY EXPERIENCE

• Deep expertise in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery (horizontal and vertical) and Discovery optimization
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform from both business and technical perspectives
• Proven ability to demonstrate strong technical and business expertise in ServiceNow ITOM Discovery
• Experience with bringing a Discovery Technical Specialist mindset to maintain operational rigor and continuous improvement in the ITOM Discovery space
• Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Familiarity with programming languages and tools such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
• Basic knowledge of design techniques and modeling principles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field).
