Job Overview
A ServiceNow Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of an organization's ServiceNow platform. Key responsibilities include maintaining the health, performance, and integrity of the ServiceNow platform.
- Maintain the health, performance, and integrity of the ServiceNow platform.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and access controls to ensure secure authentication and authorization.
- Support ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Release Management to streamline service delivery and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure data accuracy using Discovery tools to provide a single source of truth for all configuration items.
- Create and manage workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and custom applications to automate routine tasks and improve productivity.
- Assist with integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using APIs and web services to extend the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with solid understanding of CMDB concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and communicate technical information to non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Performance Analytics, and other ServiceNow modules to leverage their capabilities and improve efficiency.
- Experience with multiple ServiceNow modules including ITSM/HRSD/SAM/HAM/ITOM/ITAM/SPM to support diverse business functions.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, knowledge of HTML, CSS, and AngularJS to develop custom applications and integrate with third-party systems.
- Familiarity with relational databases and data structures to design and implement efficient data storage solutions.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and certification is highly desirable to demonstrate expertise in service management best practices.
- Knowledge of roles, ACLs, and user permissions in ServiceNow to ensure secure access and control.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party integrations to expand the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.
