Leidos is seeking a Lead ServiceNow Developer to spearhead and support ongoing projects aimed at enhancing our existing ServiceNow implementation for a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be flexible to adapt to client needs and will play a pivotal role in executing the ServiceNow roadmap. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team in a collaborative environment and will effectively communicate to gather and synthesize requirements from various stakeholders while enhancing our ServiceNow foundation.
As a Lead ServiceNow Developer, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will manage and drive continual service improvements for modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, and CSM.
This position is remote. However, candidates must be willing to work east coast core hours and must be local to the Washington, DC area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of demonstrated experience as a ServiceNow Developer, showcasing a strong understanding of the platform's architecture and capabilities. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in design, development, and support.
- At least 4 years of experience in leading software development projects.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow development across multiple modules, particularly in Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Customer Service Management (CSM), and HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
- Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM.
- A proactive self-starter who presents innovative ideas to overcome challenges.
- Possesses a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and teamwork spirit.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting development in an Agile framework, actively participating in daily scrums and ceremonies, and documenting development progress in ServiceNow.
- Hands-on experience with custom-scoped application development in ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
Technical Lead:
- Provide outstanding customer service and teamwork by effectively collaborating with clients and vendors to ensure mission success while maintaining a strong commitment to quality.
- Communicate ideas clearly and gather actionable feedback from cross-functional team members and stakeholders, demonstrating creativity and collaborative skills.
- Identify risks and challenges, analyze scenarios, and provide informed recommendations.
- Lead the development review process, offering technical guidance and support to junior and mid-level staff.
- Gather and document business and system requirements.
- Assist in defining use cases, and testing procedures, ensuring product functionality is validated prior to production deployment.
- Coordinate and lead project team meetings with technical staff and key stakeholders.
- Develop implementation plans, standard operating procedures, and system architecture for all project deployments.
- Assist in the architecture, design, management, and implementation of ServiceNow.
- Prepare project status reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintain the project documentation repository.
Development:
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects in diverse teams, focused on ServiceNow tools and techniques, including JavaScript/GLIDE, HTML5, Angular JS, jQuery, and CSS.
- Design, configure, and implement application environments while engineering suitable release management procedures and providing production support.
- Develop and refine Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs with advanced scripting.
- Create automation workflows, perform unit tests, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices for platform performance.
- Experience with Flow Designer.
- Integration experience.
- Collaborate on software design for accurate work estimates and the implementation of new features.
- Liaise with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and practices in development.
- Align all development efforts with ServiceNow Technical Best Practices.

- Familiarity with Okta and SSO technologies.
- Capability to obtain public trust clearance prior to start date.
- Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 3 months of hire.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
