ServiceNow CMDB Developer

Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a ServiceNow Developer with strong experience in CMDB, Discovery, and Platform Analytics to support critical initiatives at Western Alliance Bank. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in designing, building, and optimizing the CMDB, enabling seamless IT operations, asset visibility, and platform analytics. This is an onsite position in Phoenix, AZ.

Mandatory Skills:

• ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database) Design, implementation, optimization
• ServiceNow Discovery Setup and management of Discovery probes, credentials, MID Servers
• ServiceNow Platform Analytics Dashboards, Performance Analytics, and Reporting

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of total IT experience with at least 5+ years in ServiceNow
• Proven hands-on experience in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Performance Analytics
• Strong understanding of ITOM and ITSM modules, CI lifecycle management, and relationships
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting MID Servers, credential-less and credentialed Discovery
• Ability to develop ServiceNow Dashboards and KPIs with actionable insights
• Strong scripting knowledge: JavaScript, Glide, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Certifications:

• Active ServiceNow Certifications required such as:
• Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• CMDB or Discovery-related certifications
• Performance Analytics certifications (if applicable)

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with ITOM Visibility/Health/Optimization
• Exposure to CMDB Health Dashboards, Data Certification, CI Class Models Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., banking, or financial institutions)
