Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Software Developer

Description:

We are seeking a seasoned ServiceNow Developer to support and lead ongoing continuous improvement projects of our existing ServiceNow implementation. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to client needs, collaborate with diverse teams, and communicate effectively to obtain and synthesize requirements from external stakeholders.

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will maintain and perform continual service improvements on implemented modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM, CSM.

This position is remote, but candidates must work east coast core hours and be local to the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a strong understanding of the platform's architecture and capabilities.
  • At least 6 years of experience with design, development, and support.
  • At least 4 years of experience in leading software development projects.
  • Hands-on ServiceNow development experience across multiple modules, particularly Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Customer Service Management (CSM), and HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
  • Familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM.
  • Shows initiative, presents ideas to overcome challenges, self-starter.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Supports development in an Agile framework and actively participates in daily scrums and ceremonies.

Responsibilities:

  • Exhibits exceptional customer service and teamwork, collaborating with clients and vendors to achieve mission success.
  • Effectively conveys key ideas and gathers actionable feedback from cross-functional team members and stakeholders.
  • Identifies risks and challenges, performs qualitative and quantitative analyses, and provides well-informed recommendations.
  • Leads Development review processes and provides technical guidance and support to junior and mid-level staff.
  • Gathers and documents business and system requirements.
  • Supports the development of use cases and testing procedures.
  • Coordinates and leads project team meetings with technical staff and other key stakeholders.
  • Develops implementation plans, SOPs, and system architectures for all project deployments.
  • Assists in the architecture, design, management, and implementation of ServiceNow.
  • Prepares IT project status reports and presentations.

Development:

  • Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects in diverse team environments with a focus on ServiceNow tools and techniques.
  • Designs, configures, and implements environments for applications, engineers suitable release management procedures, and provides production support.
  • Designs, creates, and configures Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs, including advanced scripting.
  • Designs and develops automation workflows, performs unit tests, and conducts reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Experience using Flow Designer.
  • Collaborates with the team on software design, providing accurate work estimates and implementation of new features.

Pay Range:$104,650 - $189,175
