  • *Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer/Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at the NSWC Corona Division in California. As a key member of our IT department, you will work closely with clients and other system administrators to provide technical support and maintenance for our computer network systems.

  • Responsibilities
  • Administer and support daily operational requirements of computer network systems, including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
  • Install hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface, and updates, and local system design documentation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network security tools, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
  • Train staff on software applicable to their position, assist customers with information technology, monitor system configuration (hardware and software), and provide instruction on computers and applications.
  • Answer questions about installation, operation, configuration, and customization.
  • Apply advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions to correct common failures.
  • Specific support consists of troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues encountered by users.
  • Software support includes Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and various specialty engineering and scientific development tools.
  • Installation of new software releases, system upgrades, evaluation, and installation of patches, and resolving software-related issues and Information Assurance Vulnerabilities (IAVs).
  • Assist with maintaining and monitoring the organizational mailbox to ensure that all users receive timely support in response to their requests for assistance.
  • Maintain and develop IT-related procedures required to support the organization.
  • Support also includes working with the organizations Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for achieving system accreditation.
  • Provide recommendations for future IT needs of the organization.
  • Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in preparing a monthly progress and status report.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience in DoD environments, including RMF, STIGs, and DISA tools.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Proficiency in managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong skills in PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A high school degree or GED and more than seven years of relevant system administration and five years of experience installing patches, performing system updates, managing server and storage processing strategies, and providing a wide range of system administration functions.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four years of relevant system administration and three years of experience installing patches, performing system updates, managing server and storage processing strategies, and providing a wide range of system administration functions.
  • A master's degree in a relevant field and two years of relevant system administration and experience installing patches, performing system updates, managing server and storage processing strategies, and providing a wide range of system administration functions.
  • Security+ CE (required for IAT Level II compliance).
  • Microsoft, Red Hat, or VMware certifications (e.g., MCSA, RHCSA, VCP).
  • ITIL Foundation, CISSP, or other cybersecurity certifications a plus must adhere to 8140 CWF Requirements - IAT Level II SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
