Job Title: ServiceNow Developer Sr

  • Develops ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, MySQL, XML, HTML and CSS
  • Configuration Management (CMDB)
  • Analyses system performance issues and determines performance enhancements
  • Administers a Knowledge Base and Service Catalog
  • Configures out-of-the-box workflows and creates/maintains custom workflows
  • Configures application-related fields, forms, views, email notifications, acceptance roles, and access controls
  • Integrates ServiceNow applications with third-party systems/applications via APIs
  • Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals
  • Prepares reports on analyses
  • Troubleshoots bugs, fixes defects, and supports users of applications developed by the enterprise application development team
  • Performs code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met with regard to coding standards, integration, and security
  • Assists in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on ServiceNow system software
  • Develops enhancements for applications developed by the enterprise application development team
  • May assist and train less experienced personnel Qualifications and Skills:
  • A college degree plus 5 years of experience or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain the required security clearance for this position
  • Relational database expertise in relation to an enterprise software system (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)
  • Expert knowledge on building out ServiceNow CMS
  • Proficient in development of workflows, custom web services, custom notifications, assessments, and custom apps
  • Experience developing on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Service Catalog
  • Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and relationships
  • Experience administering a ServiceNow instance including delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, catalog items, and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service with excellent organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff
  • The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship
