ServiceNow Developer

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The ideal candidate will have experience configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform to meet the needs of users.

This role will be responsible for developing solutions that improve user access and navigation, implementing and monitoring changes to ensure a smooth transition, conducting staff training on new procedures, providing regular updates on project status to stakeholders, and troubleshooting issues and performing bug fixes for clients and end-users. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers to establish timelines, specifications, and budgets.
• Determine problem areas within the current framework and recommend solutions.
• Develop processes with ServiceNow that improve user access and navigation.
• Implement and monitor changes to ensure a smooth transition.
• Conduct staff training on new procedures.
• Provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform bug fixes for clients and end-users. Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer information systems, or a similar field.
• 5+ years of working with ServiceNow, including configuring an ITSM service catalog.
• Experience administering a ServiceNow instance, including delegation of groups, workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, catalog items, and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.
• Experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including creation and/or customization of core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Service Catalog.
• Experience working with Application owners to understand Application Topology and Relational requirements to fulfill Service Mapping requirements. Benefits:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping experience, preferably within a heavily containerized application environment using Docker and/or Kubernetes. They will also have experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology and supporting implementation of Software Asset Management (SAM) solution.
