Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to spearhead continuous improvement projects for our existing ServiceNow implementations at the enterprise level. The ideal candidate will be responsive to client needs while effectively contributing to the ServiceNow roadmap.

As a Lead ServiceNow Developer, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining various modules, including:

• IT Service Management (ITSM)
• IT Operations Management (ITOM)
• IT Asset Management (ITAM)
• Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
• Customer Service Management (CSM)

This position allows for remote work, but candidates should be available to work during east coast core hours and must be local to the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in design, development, and support.
• A minimum of 4 years leading software development projects.
• Proficient in multiple ServiceNow modules, particularly Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Customer Service Management (CSM), and HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
• Experience with ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM.
• A proactive mindset, presenting ideas to overcome challenges and foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in Agile frameworks and daily collaborative practices.
• Hands-on experience with custom-scoped application development in ServiceNow.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical lead, exhibiting exceptional customer service and collaboration with clients and vendors to achieve project goals.
• Facilitate clear communication of key ideas and gather actionable feedback from team members and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and challenges, offering informed recommendations to overcome them.
• Guide junior and mid-level developers, leading the development review process.
• Gather and document business/system requirements to support use case and testing procedure development.
• Coordinate project team meetings with technical staff and other key stakeholders.
• Develop implementation plans, standard operating procedures (SOP), and system architecture for all deployments.
• Prepare project status reports and presentations, maintaining the project documentation repository.
• Design, configure, and implement applications, ensuring best practices and performance quality.
• Collaborate with the team on software design and accurately estimate work for new features.
• Ensure adherence to security policies and standards throughout the development process.

What Sets You Apart:

• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems.
• Knowledge of organizational change management.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Okta and single sign-on (SSO) technologies.
• Possession of an active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA) Certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.

• ITIL v3 Foundations Certification
