ServiceNow Configuration Specialist

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ServiceNow CMDB Administration and a strong understanding of CSDM standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all entries.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects to design and implement a robust data model that supports application development and roadmap goals.
• Manage configuration items (CIs) and relationships across the CMDB to maintain accurate service mapping.
• Enforce best practices for data management, preventing CI duplication and ensuring integration points are current and functional.
• Utilize ServiceNow Discovery and other ITOM tools to automate CMDB population and reduce manual errors.
• Monitor CMDB health using ServiceNow health dashboards and remediate data compliance issues.
• Generate detailed reports and dashboards to communicate CMDB status, risks, and opportunities for improvement to stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary liaison between infrastructure, application, and monitoring teams regarding CMDB-related issues.
• Facilitate open communication with stakeholders to provide updates on incidents, changes, and configuration improvements.
• Maintain strict compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and contribute to the development of compliance strategies aligned with ITIL frameworks.
• Ensure CMDB readiness to support critical incident, change, and asset management processes.
• Conduct routine health checks of the ServiceNow instance and CMDB to identify optimization opportunities.
• Stay informed about new ServiceNow platform features and propose enhancements for CMDB functionality. Required Skills:
• Proven experience with ServiceNow CMDB Administration
• Strong understanding of CSDM standards
