ServiceNow Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow developer to join our team. As a ServiceNow developer, you will play a critical role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform.
Your responsibilities will include participating in the development process, adhering to vendor best practices and our client's ServiceNow Development standards. You will also be responsible for participating in code reviews to ensure compliance with our client's ServiceNow Development standards and vendor's best practices. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development: Complete hands-on development within the ServiceNow platform, including but not limited to: client scripts, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, data policies, workflow, flow designer, integration hub spokes, script includes, catalog items, portal widgets, UI pages, event, and alert rules.
- Code Review: Perform code review of peer development changes to ensure compliance with our client's ServiceNow Development standards and vendor's best practices.
- Upgrade/Patch Remediation: Lead upgrade/patch remediation efforts, ensuring compliance with our client's ServiceNow Development standards and vendor's best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Business/Product Team and development team to provide estimated levels of effort.
- Business Requirements: Take ownership of high-level/complex business requirements and work them to completion.
- User Stories/Requirements: Understand business user stories/requirements to provide technical design and solutions for product enhancements/new features.
- Delivery: Deliver product enhancements, new features, and defect fixes on time and error-free.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders locally and remotely to efficiently deliver high-quality product enhancements, new features, and defect fixes.
- Documentation: Provide updated documentation of all product work, including design documentation, technical operations/support documentation, and release notes.
- Integration: Support existing and build new interfaces, with a good understanding of available integrations with 3rd party tools.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to processes, policies, and best practices for development and the platform.
- Knowledge: Maintain updated knowledge of product capabilities to ensure we are best utilizing the platform with minimal customization.
- Support: Assist team members with support issues.
- Standups: Participate in daily standups to report status, delays, and risks to Scrum Master/Team Leads/Management.
- Troubleshooting: Work with members of the team, vendors, and other teams in support of application performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Policies: Ensure the system maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
- Mentorship: Mentor other team members as needed and provide technical guidance to process and management teams. Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent and relevant experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow Platform development.
- ITSM Experience: 2+ years of experience in ITSM development.
- Agile Experience: 3+ years of experience in Agile development practices.
- Certification: ServiceNow CSA Certification (preferred).
- Certification: ServiceNow CAD Certification (preferred).
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance.
