Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Lead

Location: Newark, NJ 07102 (Hybrid) Interview Mode: Webcam Interview Duration: 12-Month Contract

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Lead to oversee the strategic design, development, and administration of the ServiceNow platform within a large enterprise environment. This role is critical to aligning technology, workflows, and team efforts to drive operational excellence and improve IT service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical background in ServiceNow, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven experience optimizing IT assets and processes through the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Administration: Configure and maintain core ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
  • Custom Development: Develop custom applications, workflows, scripts, and automation using JavaScript, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow Studio.
  • Integrations: Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with IT and business teams to streamline and automate workflows, ensuring alignment with ITIL processes.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement role-based access controls, monitor platform health, and ensure adherence to security policies.
  • Upgrades & Maintenance: Plan and execute platform upgrades and patches with minimal downtime.
  • Documentation & Training: Create technical documentation and provide training to end-users and admins.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow administration and development
  • Deep understanding of ITIL processes and best practices
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow Studio
  • Experience with REST/SOAP web services for system integration
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and design effective technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow certifications: Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD)
  • Experience with ITOM Discovery, Event Management, or Performance Analytics
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
