We have an outstanding Contract position for a Service Now Developer to join a leading Company located in the Chantilly, VA surrounding area.
- *US Citizenship is required. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.** Job Responsibilities:
- Operate as part of a team or independently depending on project needs and complexity
- Responsible for the evaluation, recommendation and build out of customer requirements on the platform utilizing defined best practices for configuration and development
- Provides the primary technical effort to configure and develop the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements and processes
- Development of proprietary software solutions for clients
- Ensure successful delivery of results based on scope of work
- Engage with project team and client on full lifecycle of software development from project conceptualization and planning to development, implementation, maintenance and support
- Collaborate and contribute on the creation, deployment and maintenance of technical best practice and standards
- Ensure proactive communication with project team
- Ensure technical deliverables to customers are complete, consistent, high quality, on time, and deliver valued outcomes
- Work with product owner/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements
- Design / Develop ServiceNow Forms and Tables as well as Modules
- Develop under Scoped Applications working with ServiceNow Studio
- Develop Workflow / Flow Design where required to drive Approvals and Process Lifecycle
- Develop systems integrations and process automation with External system REST APIs
- Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal)
- Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow
- May specialize in a given area of development such as Web/Internet applications, mobile, cloud application , system integration, UI / UX design, software testing, Web services, or a specific SN Product area
- Work with product owner/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements
- Produce client deliverables such as detailed design documentation, unit test plans and well-documented code
- Troubleshooting code-related issues/defects
- Provide technical support to configure and develop the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements and processes
- Understand the underlying business need conveyed through discussion and user stories
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Career professional within field
- Requires moderate-advanced skill set and proficiency in discipline
- C ond ucts work assignments of complexity, under moderate supervision with independent judgment
- 3+ years of hands-on experience within the ServiceNow Platform
- 3+ years of other business experience
- 3+ years of Scripting/Coding Experience (JavaScript preferred)
- Applied experience with technical components such as LDAP, SSL, SAML/SSO and other like technologies
- Implementation and configuration experience within the ServiceNow Platform
- Demonstrated experience with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST)
- Experience with web services integrations
- Applied experience working in an Agile/Scrum/XP environment
- Certified System Administrator
- Certified Application Developer
- ServiceNow Implementation Badge
- Two (2) CIS Certs
- Working towards additional SN certifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems ,or a related discipline
- May have comparable combination of education and successfully demonstrated experience
- May have Immersive Code Camp experience
- ITIL Foundations or higher certification
