Description:

TEKsystems’ Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Test Engineer supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA. This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.

Candidates must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily. A Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment, and Security+ certification must be obtained within 14 days of the start date.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work within an Agile Scrum team to ensure delivery of quality software

• Analyze capability requirements and collaborate with technical leads and test managers

• Create automated tests using ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF)

• Identify testable acceptance criteria in user stories

• Test ServiceNow capabilities developed during sprint cycles

• Support independent test manager with test procedure development and execution

• Participate in sprint reviews and planning sessions

• Translate functional requirements into test cases

• Perform regression testing across operational test scenarios

• Prepare test reports summarizing results, anomalies, and configuration changes

• Support software configuration management and interface requirements

• Develop detailed test plans, test data, and acceptance criteria

• Support customer demonstrations, data prep, and UAT activities

• Document and maintain testing updates and defects using Jira

• Maintain validation traceability for software systems (RVTM)

• Open to mentoring and skill development from senior testers

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required

• Active DoD Secret Clearance

• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (must be obtained within 14 days of start)

• Bachelor’s degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 2–6 years (additional experience may substitute for degree)

• Experience with test data management and automation

• Familiarity with DevOps, CI tools, and source control systems

• Experience with Agile development and testing methodologies

• Ability to work on multidisciplinary teams

• Willingness to grow and learn from senior testers

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience with ServiceNow administration and platform maintenance

• Prior experience with ServiceNow ATFs

• Familiarity with ServiceNow modules: Discovery, Event Management, Scripting, Service Mapping, Business Rules, Script Includes, Custom Applications, Orchestration, Workflows, Service Catalog

• Ability to perform code analysis and troubleshoot technical issues

• ITIL Foundation certification

• AWS cloud certifications

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies

• Experience with Jira and Confluence

Clearance Level: Secret

This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret).

Because an active clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Hourly Rate Range: $55.00 to $75.00/hour

The above hourly rate range represents a general guideline. TEKsystems considers factors such as responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions when determining base salary offers.
