ServiceNow HAM/SAM Analyst V

Job Title: ServiceNow SAM Developer

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow SAM Developer to support and enhance our software asset management capabilities. This role will focus on optimizing discovery integrations, improving data accuracy, and automating lifecycle processes to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration Optimization
• Review and optimize current SCCM and JAMF integrations, including associated business rules and scheduled jobs.
• Ensure integrations are delivering accurate and complete data to support SAM processes.
• Develop and maintain standardized Publisher Packs for approved software applications to streamline deployment and ensure consistency across platforms
• Discovery Data Analysis
• Analyze data from the Citrix Discovery source (64,070 software installs) to validate accuracy and eliminate duplicates.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues across discovery sources.
• Issue Investigation & Resolution
• Investigate anomalies such as the SG-JAMF "Last Scanned" future date issue and troubleshoot related processes.
• Resolve issues with business rules that fail to remove software installs from devices marked as Retired, In Stock, or Stolen.
• Automation & Lifecycle Enhancements
• Develop and enhance automation for software lifecycle processes within ServiceNow.
• Support continuous improvement of SAM workflows and compliance reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM development, including scripting, business rules, and scheduled jobs.
• Deep understanding of discovery integrations (SCCM, JAMF, Citrix) and data normalization.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and process issues.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
