Job Purpose: The ServiceNow Administrator is responsible for managing integrations with internal systems, developing and deploying enterprise business solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This position assists in overseeing the SNC Governance team ensuring best practice implementation and consistency in cross-team development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists current Architect in implementing out of box ServiceNow applications
  • Creates new and supports existing integrations between ServiceNow and other internal systems (SOAP/REST API, Web Services, XML parsing)
  • Builds custom applications as needed by the company using ServiceNow solutions
  • Assists with platform upgrades and peer review of key update sets to production
  • Coordinates with ServiceNow partners for outsourced work
  • Provides development efforts and integration with the Atlassian Jira environment
  • Supports existing Atlassian environment including Jira administration and development
  • Administers Scrum/SDLC implementation in ServiceNow
  • Defines and enacts standards for implementations in ServiceNow ensuring consistency and supportability of customizations
  • Provides internal training to department level ServiceNow admins and developers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of ServiceNow administrator or developer experience
  • 3+ years software development experience (or scripting in an object oriented scripting language)
  • 2+ years experience with API integrations
  • ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certification recommended

This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow, technical knowledge of the ServiceNow GlideRecord API, and best practices in IT service management.
