Job Overview

The ServiceNow Developer II is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the HR Service Delivery (HRSD) and Onboarding modules within the ServiceNow platform to streamline and optimize HR processes. This role involves hands-on development, including designing, coding, troubleshooting, and sustaining applications, while also contributing to project management and providing end-user support when needed.

The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance HR operations and has a strong background in ServiceNow HRSD. Success in this role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • 2-3 years experience developing and operating ServiceNow HRSD
  • Additional 3-5 years experience developing and operating other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM
  • Currently working in ServiceNow Utah or later
  • Knowledge of HRSD and Onboarding workflows
  • Up-to-date knowledge of different programming languages, such JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of ITIL Processes
  • Knowledge of SAML/SSO, REST APIs, Microservices and other backend development
  • Working knowledge of database systems

Preferred

  • ServiceNow Developer Certification and HRSD or Onboarding Micro certifications are a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at both verbal and written forms, ensuring clear and effective stakeholder engagement
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and efficiently
  • Desire to work collaboratively to ensure effective execution of project deadlines
  • Strongly detail-oriented with an ability to quickly identify and solve programming errors
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills

Essential Functions

  • Design, Develop, install, and troubleshoot ServiceNow applications
  • Provide technical insight in designing and supporting ServiceNow while aligning to Service Management and Human Resources standard methodologies along with Onboarding workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements using ServiceNow
  • Act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of ServiceNow HRSD and provide guidance to team members as needed
  • Ensure data integrity and security within the ServiceNow HRSD platform
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the HR team and across departments
  • Integration development and maintenance
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize HR processes using ServiceNow HRSD
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in ServiceNow HRSD
  • Assist in training, documentation, and overall support
  • Identify bugs/defects and resolutions to ensure platform functions as designed
