Job Title: ServiceNow Administrator

This role is focused on buildouts and business analyst responsibilities, requiring innovative thinking, quick problem-solving, and collaboration in a team environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Planning: Participate in the design, planning, and review of new applications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and anticipate process improvement opportunities with representatives from various lines of business.
  • Technical Vision: Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Development: Write high-quality code adhering to engineering rigor for application reliability, scalability, maintainability, extensibility, and security.
  • Training and Support: Provide training on ServiceNow functionality to the Network team and assign work to QA to validate development and support regression testing.
  • Front-end Design and Development: Act as the technical lead for front-end design and development.
  • Risk Management: Partner with program/project managers to track potential risks that could impact project delivery.
  • Requirements Analysis: Decompose high-level business and user requirements into detailed specifications suitable for use by those who must base their work on them.
  • Documentation: Develop system documentation, including User Guides and communication regarding new features, flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop test plans and facilitate testing sessions with lines of business to ensure documented deliverables are completed.
  • ServiceNow Administration: Administration of ServiceNow Service Management System (CMDB, Service Catalog updates and maintenance, groups/user management, workflow building and editing, custom application deployments, troubleshooting).
  • Software Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve software problems as needed in Operational tools.
  • Problem Documentation: Document problems, resolutions, and development/configuration for future reference.
  • Technical Contributions: Contribute to development and design by offering best practice solutions to technical issues.
  • Platform Maintenance: Maintain and support the ServiceNow platform by performing minor to moderate development and configuration changes as assigned.
