Job Title: ServiceNow Software Engineer
As a key member of our development team, the ServiceNow Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using the ServiceNow platform. This demanding yet rewarding position requires a deep understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software applications using ServiceNow's low-code platform to deliver innovative solutions that drive business value.
- Configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows in ServiceNow to optimize business processes.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality code delivery and meet stringent quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring seamless communication and alignment across departments.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for software applications and system integrations to facilitate knowledge sharing and reduce onboarding time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software applications and system integrations, utilizing strong analytical skills and problem-solving expertise.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve software development processes and product quality, driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of the job.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on service-oriented architecture and integration.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform, including data modeling, workflow design, and API integration, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git, ensuring effective collaboration and efficient code management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience in place of education.
- ServiceNow Fundamentals Certification, preferred but not required, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the ServiceNow ecosystem.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps practices, a significant plus in this fast-paced and ever-evolving field.
