ServiceNow Developer Role

The ServiceNow Developer plays a pivotal role in crafting, maintaining and upgrading the ITSM Pro and HRSD Enterprise applications on the ServiceNow platform. This encompasses designing and developing bespoke solutions that cater to business requirements and IT service management best practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing effective solutions on the ServiceNow platform through a deep understanding of ITSM and HRSD workflows, requirements and business needs.
• Developing, configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications using a range of technologies including scripting, UI elements, business rules and APIs.
• Ensuring seamless integration with third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub or middleware for data consistency and efficiency.
• Providing exceptional technical support, troubleshooting and ensuring an optimal user experience.
• Managing platform upgrades, patching and cloning while maintaining performance, scalability and security.
• Creating insightful reports and dashboards to monitor service performance and provide actionable insights.
• Offering expertise in ServiceNow design and Service Management best practices.
• Staying up-to-date with platform releases, functionality and future updates.
• Supporting training, documentation and knowledge sharing initiatives.
• Identifying and resolving bugs to ensure proper platform function.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture is essential, as well as experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or ServiceNow Agile Development. A strong background in project management and end-user support is also required.
