Position Description:

Prime Solutions Group (PSG), Inc. is seeking a Principal ServiceNow Developer to support a high-profile program with a major defense customer, leading the development of a cutting-edge Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Digital Engineering Ecosystem from our Sterling, VA office.

In this role, you will architect, build, and sustain enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions at the heart of a hub-and-spoke digital engineering architecture. The platform enables seamless digital thread, tool interoperability, and AI-ready data structures to power next-generation engineering and mission operations. With ServiceNow serving as the central integration hub, you'll play a pivotal role in automation, workflow orchestration, and enterprise-wide integration.

This is a high-visibility position on a mission-critical government program, where your expertise will directly impact the success of some of the nation's most complex defense and intelligence initiatives. You'll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, helping shape enterprise-scale digital engineering solutions while advancing both your career and U.S. national security.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and maintain ServiceNow infrastructure and APIs in an AWS cloud environment
  • Architect and administer roles, permissions, IdAM, Active Directory, and LDAP integrations
  • Automate deployments and upgrades using DevSecOps tools (Foreman, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Selenium)
  • Build orchestrated workflows integrating customer tools and APIs
  • Create automated testing plans for both security and functional requirements
  • Support Linux and Windows environments in hybrid cloud architectures
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation (guides, diagrams, architecture docs)
  • Present technical briefings to government and senior leadership
  • Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow and infrastructure issues with rigor and speed
  • Collaborate as part of an Agile Scrum team, contributing to sprints, JIRA tasks, and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility with CI Poly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of ServiceNow or related IT experience
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
  • ServiceNow Certifications (Admin, Developer, or Architect level)
  • Proven expertise with ServiceNow CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps integration
  • Strong troubleshooting and end-to-end system validation skills
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud architecture
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA tasking
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium) and DevOps tooling (Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, and system security requirements
  • Experience configuring monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk) to integrate with ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-stakes environments

Preferred skills or experience:

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environments (Cameo, Teamwork Cloud, Innoslate)
  • Cloud optimization and advanced monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace)
  • SharePoint administration and IBM ELM experience
  • Application virtualization/streaming integrations
  • Tableau or advanced analytics tool integration
